These include accreditation, development costs, transfer credit issues, and student learning styles, not to mention faculty resistance, and the potential for the shift of responsibility for these courses to adjunct faculty. In addition, for-profit institutions of higher education are reporting high dropout rates, declining student satisfaction, and issues with the limitations of course revision and course ownership.
