    hello,
I was wanting a refresh/clarification. Is margin of error different from the confidence interval? Is one more nuanced or associated more with Binomial Estimations vs. Gaussian?
    Thank you.

    • A statistical estimate may be expressed as a value, plus or minus a margin of error, or it may be expressed as a range of values, known as a confidence interval. In both cases, the estimate must include a confidence level.

For example, you might say that 60% of Ralph’s readers prefer TAR over CAR, plus or minus 5%, with 95% confidence. Or you might express the same estimate as a confidence interval by saying that between 55% and 65% of Ralph’s readers prefer TAR over CAR, with 95% confidence.
