2nd Addendum to e-Disco is Hot: Clearwell Sells for $410 Million!

I know this addendum thing is getting ridiculous, but what can you say after you learn that Clearwell just sold for $410,000,000! The lucky buyer is Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC). They hope to close the deal by September.

Congrats to all of my friends at Clearwell! This is no bubble like the IPO today of Linked In that doubled in price in three hours. This has been a long time coming, and it is just the start of the real thing, like the IPO of Google. Law firms and companies around the world are beginning to realize the importance of e-discovery and search to democratic systems of justice. See the Reuters Thomson article for a summary of the Clearwell acquisition. See e-discovery 2.0 by Clearwell for the complete story.

Who will be next?
